Terms

These terms apply when you use Fondly Written or order a book. They're written to be read, so please do. Last updated 28 October 2026.

Who we are

Fondly Written is a trading name of Sharon Abraham, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at hello@fondlywritten.com or by post at 78 Marco Polo Tower, 6 Bonnet Street, London E16 2BN, United Kingdom.

Making your book

You answer questions about someone you love, and our writing assistant drafts reasons using only what you tell us. You choose which reasons to keep and can rewrite any of them. Your characters are illustrated with image tools from the choices you make, then checked against those choices. Illustrations can differ a little from the preview in style and detail, and printed colours can look slightly different from your screen.

You approve every page before anything is made. We print exactly what you approve, so please check names, dates and spelling first. You're responsible for the final wording.

Your content

The words and memories you give us stay yours. You let us use them, and the book we make from them, only to create, deliver and store your book and show it back to you. We won't use your book in our marketing without asking you first.

Please don't include anything unlawful, hateful or hurtful, or anything you don't have the right to share. We may decline to make a book that breaks this, and refund you if you've paid.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in your currency and include any tax we have to charge. Delivery costs are shown before you pay. Stripe handles payment securely. If we've shown a price wrongly, we'll contact you before going ahead, and you can cancel for a full refund.

Delivery, cancellations and returns

Personalised books can't be returned for a change of mind, but we'll reprint or refund anything damaged, printed wrongly or lost. The details are on our delivery and returns page.

Your digital book

Your flipbook and PDF are for you and the people you share them with. Share the link with whoever you like, but please don't sell or publish the book.

Our responsibility to you

If we break these terms or don't take reasonable care, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We aren't responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, or for business losses, since our books are for personal use.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.

If something goes wrong

Please email hello@fondlywritten.com first. We'll always try to put things right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts. If you live outside the UK, you keep the protections your own country's law gives you.

Changes

We may update these terms, for example when we add new products. The terms on this page when you order are the ones that apply to that order. See also our privacy policy.
